I created this cake for a small, intimate wedding by the ocean near Peggy's Cove in October 2009. It was frosted in classic vanilla buttercream, and decorated with sugarpaste shells and fresh orchids and lilies.
The bride was truly a pleasure to work with--one of the delightful perks of making wedding cakes is meeting fantastic people :)

Happy Birthday to my cousin!

This tall, round classic vanilla cake frosted in smooth vanilla buttercream was adorned with a gumpaste elephant on sparkly orange sugar and Tootsie roll palm trees!

Everything was edible but the gold swirly ribbon.
