It's officially summer, and graduates have celebrated!
I covered and decorated this cake with fondant. The grad cap was made out of chocolate which was then covered in black fondant also. I made the engineering ring with gumpaste and painted it silver with lustre dust.
I delivered it across the city to a home with THE MOST beautiful view of Halifax! I was delighted to find that it travelled well, even through construction zones :)

ReplyDeleteJust a follow up on the Grad Cake - Everybody lOVED it. Brad, the graduate started his new job in Calgary just after the party and his Mom froze the top section of the cake and travelled to Calgary to see him in July with the cake. So it really is well travelled!!! Brad, his girlfriend and mom devoured the cake top that weekend - DELICIOUS :)
